Personalized Recreation: Thoughtful Planning, Meaningful Results
Assessment: Kiana begins by thoroughly assessing her clients’ needs, abilities, and interests. This initial step involves using standardized tools and observations to gather essential information that will guide the therapy process.
Planning: Based on the assessment, Kiana develops a personalized plan that outlines specific goals and interventions tailored to the client’s needs. This plan is designed to address the areas identified during the assessment and set clear objectives for the therapy.
Implementation: In this phase, Kiana engages her clients in therapeutic activities that are aligned with the goals set in the planning stage. These activities are carefully chosen to be both enjoyable and therapeutic, helping clients work towards their objectives in a supportive and engaging environment.
Evaluation: Finally, Kiana conducts an ongoing evaluation of the therapy’s effectiveness. This involves monitoring progress, gathering feedback, and making necessary adjustments to the plan to ensure that the therapy remains responsive to the client’s evolving needs.
By following this APIE process, Kiana ensures that her recreational therapy services are comprehensive, targeted, and adaptable, leading to meaningful outcomes for her clients.
